A Special Thank You to Everyone Who Contributed to our 5th Annual Hope for the Holidays Gift Giving Drive
December 22, 2009

The WGIRLS Fifth Annual Hope for the Holidays fundraising effort was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of the hundreds of individuals who generously donated their time, money and supplies. Through ticket sales our Holiday Fiesta fundraiser and the generosity of individual donors and child sponsors, the NYC chapter successfully raised over $16,000 needed to purchase holiday wishes for 285 children in the Children of Bellevue and Harlem Hospital programs. The WGIRLS personally purchased, wrapped and delivered over 1,000 gifts to the very grateful children at Bellevue and Harlem Hospitals last week. Read more...

WGIRLS NYC Host Holiday Party for Children of Bellevue
December 18, 2009

On Thursday, December 17, 2009, the WGIRLS NYC threw a holiday party at Bellevue Hospital for the Children of Bellevue, a group of 200 children served by the hospital. Fifteen WGIRLS volunteered their time and talents and worked tirelessly to transform a large auditorium into a winter wonderland filled with presents and cheer, much to the delight of the over 300 guests who attended.  Read more...

Hope for the Holidays Fiesta
December 11, 2009

Yesterday, the WGIRLS NYC hosted their 5th Annual Hope for the Holidays party whose proceeds will be used to benefit our 5th annual holiday gift giving drive. Over 200 guests attended this year’s Holiday Fiesta which featured a Latin flair as guests mingled amidst the colorful murals adorning the walls of the venue, Cantina Latina. Energetic music filled the air, lights twinkled and raffle tickets for amazing prizes like a Cole Haan bag or NY Ranger tickets were sold in abundance. The WGIRLS NYC would like to thank all who attended to support our efforts for the holidays. It is one of our favorite times of the year and we had a great time sharing it with you!  Read more...
