The WGIRLS NYC Attend Glamour in the City

On May 15th, over 20 members of the WGIRLS NYC organization attended the “Glamour in the City” event hosted by the GlamourGals foundation.  The WGIRLS NYC celebrated the theme of the evening by donning their best hot pink attire.

The vision of the GlamourGals is to end elder loneliness by fostering a movement of compassionate female leaders. GlamourGals volunteers grow to be collaborative and community-oriented in their personal and public decision-making. Read more...

The WGIRLS NYC Support Operation Fairy Dust

On April 19th, The WGIRLS NYC partnered with Operation Fairy Dust to provide over 400 prom dresses and full staffing for the event.

Operation Fairy Dust was created in 2002 and is a program of the New York Benefit & Aid Committee for Kids, Inc, a non-profit organization founded by young professionals and graduate students to help local charities for children through financial contributions and volunteer support.   Operation Fairy Dust provides underprivileged NYC high schools girls in need with formal prom dresses.  This program enables those teens the opportunity to attend their prom event that may be unable otherwise unable to meet the costs to participate.

The WGIRLS NYC hosted a live bachelor/bachelorette auction raising over $20,000 for HELPUSA's HELPHARBOR and HELPHAVEN domestic violence programs in NYC.
