WGIRLS Ties and Tieras

On Thursday March 11th, The NYC Chapter of the WGIRLS INC. celebrated the addition of their newest program Operation Fairy Dust.
Over 200 guests attended the Ties and Tiaras which raised funds to help outfit economically disadvantaged girls for their prom. Guests wore ties or tiaras and enjoyed open bar, delicious cupcakes from Aunt Butchies, and bid on fabulous raffle prizes including Oscar De La Renta gowns, a Marc Jacobs handbag, and more....
The Happy Hour event raised over $5000 dollars for the program which is set to give dresses away at Brooklyn Borough Hall to over 1000 girls in late April. The hall will be transformed into a magical shopping experience for the girls complete with "Fairy Godmother" personal shoppers, free accessories, lots of pink tulle, and plenty of smiles. The WGIRLS INC is 100% volunteer based organization of women across 8 states who have come together together to donate thier time, energy, and talents to helping women and children who are less fortunate. Operation Fairy Dust has been outfitting economically disadvantaged young women for the prom since 2002. With strengths in operational execution and fundraising, a large membership, and a growing national presence the WGIRLS is poised to take Operation Fairy Dust to the next level.
