WGIRLS NYC Join the NYC Revlon Run Walk

Over twenty members of the WGIRLS NYC joined more than 40,000 men, women, children and families in Times Square on May 2, 2009 to kick off the 2009 Revlon Run/Walk for Women in NYC. This was the 4th year in a row that the WGIRLS NYC participated in, and raised funds on behalf of the NYC Revlon Run Walk. This powerful and widely-celebrated 5K run/walk through Midtown and Central Park supports research and treatment for cancers that afflict women and their loved ones every day.

The Revlon Run/Walk began in 1993 to raise awareness and critical funds for women's cancers research, treatment, and counseling and outreach programs. Since 1993, the Revlon Run/Walk has developed into one of the nation’s largest fundraising programs. Thus far, the event has raised and allocated nearly $55 million in funds to support the development of cancer treatments, outreach programs, and counseling efforts.

This year, the WGIRLS were fortunate enough to catch up with celebrity host Jimmy Fallon during this event!
