American Red Cross

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. In October 2005, the WGIRLS NYC hosted a Black & White party to raise donations for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In partnership with a corporate matching program, proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross on behalf of the hurricane victims.
